Renowned London chef, Henry Vigar has opened La Mouette Restaurant in Cape Town?s Sea Point area. La Mouette is situated in a double storey manor house with cobblestoned courtyard that is almost 100 years old. The menu is French Mediteranean and showcases the best of South African local produce and seasonality. Henry did his training in the south of France, Australia and also in varied Michelin starred establishments in London.
Chef Henry reflects his passion for French cooking by using classic techniques and combining them with locally sourced produce to create a finer dining experience that won't break the bank. Henry along with Team La Mouette takes great pride in the matching of food and wine and has become known for their ever changing and exciting Tasting Menus with wine pairings.
Team La Mouette is made up of Henry's wife Mari Vigar, business partner Gerrit Bruwer and Events and Marketing Executive, Janine Hoggins. They very much look forward to welcoming you to La Mouette Restaurant where great food and great, friendly service are always the priority.
