BLAKES is set out over 3 levels, and while lavishly decorated, each floor has its own ambience and feel. Walking through the old Indian doors, most guests start on the first floor, where an British inspired menu is offered at both the ?Long Bar? and raised dining area. The second floor, our ?Salon Privé?, boasts a deck area which offers unparalleled views of Table Mountain & Lions Head. The ground floor lounge, The Club, which has an outside deck area is South Africa's newest and most exciting Members Only club for those who want to be a part of a unique set and live the lighter side of contemporary life. BLAKES was designed to facilitate private functions, from an intimate 20 person get together or 100 person soirée and even larger corporate gatherings of up to 400 guests, all the while maintaining that intimate experience. Situated at 189 Buitengracht Street (in the old Relish/Ginja building), BLAKES is open Tuesdays ? Saturdays, from 5pm until late. A fusion of British and classic French dishes are offered on the menu, and with tapas small plates and share platters, many designed to be shared. The signature Cocktail Menu for BLAKES includes re-worked classics such as a Thai Lady Boy and the Capetonian Mule, as well as fresh ingredient based mixes such as the Watermelon and Chili Martini and the Orange Caprioska. Guests enjoy cocktail hour from 5pm-8pm Monday to Friday, when selected drinks are 2 for 1.
